It’s nice to pick up a book you can just lose yourself in the characters. Don’t get me wrong, these books are very well written and plotted and I love them when my mind isn’t giving everything it’s full attention, especially whilst we are in lockdown. I know when I pick up a book by Nora Roberts that’s what I’m going to get. Sometimes when we are reading we just want a book we can sit and really relax with, something that doesn’t need lots of focus, something a little lighter. What happened that night may always haunt Caitlin but she must decide if it’s what you’re running from that matters. But Caitlin comes to realise that if she wants to not just survive but thrive, she must return to the family home to face up to her past. The betrayal she experienced that night will shape Caitlyn’s life – and for years she runs and runs, hiding from the aftermath of the trauma. How was it that day, that moment, that game never seemed to end?Ĭaitlin Sullivan is just nine years old when a game of hide and seek at a family party will change her life forever. One day, she thought, one moment, one innocent game.
